We are informed through the teachings of the Eternal Way, the golden thread of truth found at the core of the world’s religious traditions, that we all are indeed children of God. Regardless of our color, size, shape, or age—we are each uniquely imbued with Divine Spirit just as an ocean wave is imbued with the same water as the whole ocean. With this light of divine remembrance as our beacon, we are committed to fostering awakening to the One Truth known by many names in our youth and families by celebrating the unique expression of Spirit in each individual in ways that lead to living soul-centered lives in harmony with others.
To support this vision, each Sunday we offer our Youth Spiritual Education (YSE) programs for youth from infancy into their teens during our morning worship service. A typical Sunday class includes: opening circle, hatha yoga or movement, prayer and meditation, an age-appropriate lesson based upon ethical living principles (truthfulness, harmlessness, right action, love, purity/cleanliness, peace/contentment, and unity), an illustrative story, and an activity - many times art based.
We also celebrate youth through our annual Youth Blessing and Art Show, typically near the beginning of December, where, as a community, we recognize the Divine in each child, and appreciate the expression of the Divine through their artwork.
YSE: 9:45 to 11:30 am we offer specific classes for the following age groups: 3-6 year olds, 6-10 year olds, teens (11-15 year olds), and Nursery (6 months through 3 years)

In addition to our Sunday YSE Programs we provide additional programs including Living in Joy: Afterschool programs.

Youth Spirit Day Camp - preparing and performing soulful youth-centered dramas, such as God is All-in-All: the Story of the Bhagavad Gita; Everyday Gifts of God: Inspirations from Yogananda’s Life; and Dharma Tales: Finding Our Purpose in Life. It is from the context of divine wholeness that we offer our Youth and Family programs.

To support our young people, we must first begin to awaken and remember ourselves. We support parents in ‘remembering’ in ways that support both their own path and their path as a family member. We encourage parents to take CSE’s core curriculum classes, as well as offering our Be the Best Parent You Can Be and Conscious Communications classes. Our job is to love God in all.
Know yourself as a soul, a child of God! You are the children of God, the sharers of immortal bliss, holy and perfect beings.
- Swami Vivekananda
We know that we love the children of God, when we love God.
