Envisioning a World Filled with Ahimsa
A 2020 Youth Summer Yoga Camp Production
World Premiere Friday, August 7 at 5:00 pm

Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word that translates as non-harming or harmlessness. It is the first of the ethical principles given in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Our first imperative is to decrease the harm we do to ourselves, our communities, and our world. As we deepen our practice of Ahimsa, we realize that it requires us to cultivate kindness, love and compassion for all.

In this year’s Youth Summer Yoga Camp, we challenged ourselves to envision a world filled with Ahimsa, where everyone practiced kindness, love and compassion to the best of their ability. We encouraged our campers to create their own expressions of a World Filled with Ahimsa. In our full video, we have captured their generous and creative outpourings, and intermixed it with a taste of our camp.
