Hatha Yoga is commonly translated as the yoga that brings the union of two pairs of opposites with "ha" meaning sun and "tha" meaning moon. The objective of Hatha Yoga in the Kriya Yoga Tradition is to prepare the body and mind for meditation.

Kriya Yoga is an intentional, universal approach to Self-realization and spiritual enlightenment: complete awakening to full knowledge of the Infinite. It is an integrated spiritual path that brings together the most effective elements of all systems of yoga. Emphasis in this tradition is placed on healthy, purposeful, conscious living, and superconscious meditation practice.

Are You Ready to Live Your Yoga, and Incorporate Simple Moves into Your Life to Support Your Spiritual Practice?

As a result of our hatha yoga practice, we can move easefully into meditation and we can practice dispassion in the world.  We can learn how to take our practice off the mat and into the world. Learn simple stretches that can be done anywhere, learn how to connect to your breath and let go in any situation, learn basic yoga asanas that open up the energy centers to enhance your daily meditation practice.  Each class will conclude with a short meditation.
