Join us for an introduction to the philosophy and practice of Ayurvedic Medicine. A 5000-year-old lived and practiced science, Ayurveda offers us a studied, logical pathway for achieving optimum health, defined as a balanced state of body, mind and senses, and a freedom of the soul essential to true health and healing.
This workshop will focus on Ayurveda Fundamentals, Ayurveda Health and Beauty, and Cooking Ayurvedically, including discussion related to:
- What it means to live in harmony with the natural world
- How emotions affect our digestion
- How spirituality plays an essential role in defining our health
- How the natural rhythms of the day and seasons affect our health
- Simple steps to live beautifully and look radiant every day
- Easy to implement cooking techniques to support an Ayurvedic diet

Ripa Ajmera completed three years of in-depth study of Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedanta at Vedika Global, where she earned a degree in Ayurveda Health Counseling, and is now immersed in a field apprenticeship to gain more advanced training in the Ayurvedic approach to holistic healing. She also conducts Yoga for Atmabodha classes at Vedika Global, as an Assistant Teacher of Vedika's Acharya Shunya. Ripa has taught Yoga and Meditation at juvenile detention centers, schools, non-profits, and shelters in New Delhi, the SF Bay Area and New York City. She additionally holds an honors degree in Marketing from NYU’s Undergraduate Stern School of Business and studies Personal Financial Planning at UC Berkeley. She has experience in marketing, business planning, entrepreneurship, sales strategy, public relations and freelance writing, and currently manages Vedika’s social media efforts, including the Vedika Global Blog and Vedika Global’s YouTube Channel. |

Manasvini (Reina Frankfort) completed three years of study at Vedika Global earning a degree in Ayurvedic Health Counseling. She is divinely inspired in the kitchen and has chosen to heal with food by serving her community cooking for up to a hundred people on a weekly basis. Manasvini coordinates Vedika Annam Kitchen where she teaches ayurvedic cooking classes, and mentors future chefs. In addition she is also a clinical massage therapist and uses ayurvedic principles in her bodywork to specialize in pain management and injury recovery. She received her Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon and has a background in organic vegetable gardening and western herbalism. Manasvini believes in the power of transformation though selfless service and the ability to heal ones mind and body with food. |

Tuere Anderson is a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor and a lifelong student of Ayurveda. Tuere uses her Vedika Global Ayurvedic education in her role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, serving children, youth and families who experience poverty and adversity. Tuere's Ayurvedic and clinical practices focus on self-care and self-awareness. Tuere is currently teaching beauty/skin care at Vedika Global. She incorporates her studies of Western herbalism, Vedanta and Ayurveda into her lessons. |
