Racial Justice, Spiritual Practice and Compassionate Right Action
Four Tuesdays
March 16 - April 6, 2021
** LIMITED TO 35 PARTICIPANTS **
Registration Fee: $20
On our spiritual journey through life, dharmic questions arise for us to tend to. One of those essential questions comes when we witness injustice. We must ask ourselves: What is mine to do? We search our hearts, our intellect, and the teachings of our tradition. How do the spiritual teachings guide us in troubled times? Are we to remain contemplatives only, or must we act? Is action in support of justice in harmony with an enlightenment tradition?
Following the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and the mass protests that arose demanding justice, with the direction of Yogacharya O'Brian, a team of CSE ministers and leaders came together to create a program to address racial injustice in
alignment with our spiritual teachings of Kriya Yoga.
In this program, we will:
- Explore essential concepts about racism, how it is perpetuated, and how yogic teachings provide a way to transform it,
- Learn how the practices of Kriya Yoga support us in bringing healing to ourselves and the world,
- Have time to reflect and participate in small group dialogue in a safe space, to support our individual and collective healing, and
- Ultimately, discover the blossoming of grace that is ours to contribute through inspired and engaged compassionate action.
PROGRAM OFFERED ON DONATION BASIS
Registration fee holds your space and covers basic administrative costs. The program itself is offered on a donation basis to support the CSE ministry and to continue offering online programs like this one. You can offer a donation
during the registration process or donate here
at anytime.
