Buddhi, or the discerning aspect of the mind, is like an impartial judge who weighs inputs from the sensory cast of characters. We can listen to our friend and respond, all the while keeping our attention on the road with awareness of our destination guiding our turns. In this same way, it is possible to work in the world and fulfill our responsibilities while inwardly engaging in prayer.
