When we identify with the ego self, we see life through the lenses of "I, me, and mine." We divide up what is whole and lose our connection to Life's supportive influence. We regain it by realizing the unity of all life.

Ego identity is maintained through our desires in the form of likes and dislikes. Constantly seeking to get what we want and to avoid what we don't want obscures the perfection of what is.
