Nonattachment to results brings freedom from worry. This nonattachment is the opposite of not caring. It is based on caring deeply for what truly matters-the peace of mind that accompanies divine remembrance.

Nonattachment to the results of our work starts before the work is begun with a pure intention, one that is free from the desire for personal gain. Engage in activity because it is the right thing to do, all the while remaining free of the fixation on a desired outcome.

Watch where the mind runs and bring it back. Repeatedly returning the mind to rest in the awareness of the presence of God, or the One Reality, saves us from the myriad distractions that can rob our energy and squander our time. Those intent on spiritual awakening remain focused on the goal.
