Anger, lust, and greed are the result of misdirected soul force. The ego, instead of following the soul's inspiration, attempts to dominate life though partnership with the senses. When the light of the soul guides the ego, we are freed from the sway of those troublesome emotions. The key is intentional surrender of the ego to the soul's wisdom.

We have a choice in life whether or not to fulfill our soul's destiny. Intentional living focused on spiritual awakening keeps us pointed in the direction of that goal. Even when we are not fully clear about what our soul's destiny is, the intention to awaken spiritually prepares us to receive the guidance that will come as surely as day follows night.
