The mind finds rest from the storms of worry by taking refuge in God. A mantra can connect us with this sheltering presence. When a mantra is used regularly, it becomes a habit. In a moment of darkness the mantra rises to the mind as a gift of light.

What causes us to react unkindly when someone is angry? Restlessness. When the mind is agitated, we cannot perceive the unity of life. This leads to defending an imaginary separate self.
