Faith is necessary. The spiritual way of life requires us to swim against the current of conformity—the message of the world that says that material possessions, fame, and relationships will bring us happiness and security. We must be interested in seeking another way to break free from this illusion and believe it is possible.

When we return our conscious awareness to God, to our ever-present spiritual nature, we partake of the joy that the conscious contact with God brings. Joy is the link between God and the soul.

Release the false sense of self as the owner of things or the doer of actions. Realize that life is a play of consciousness in which the sense of separate self is an illusion. We exist as expressions of the one infinite field of divine consciousness.

When our life is out of balance—too much food, sleep, action, or inaction—the body and mind become occupied with attempting to regain equilibrium. Balance releases the energy necessary to focus dynamically and achieve success.
