Prayer for the workplace: "God be my day planner today. Help me to remember that You call all of the meetings and that all work is for your sake. When I see my co-workers I will think only of You. I will put them first offering my service at your lotus feet. The workplace will be my practice hall today."

When a desire is satisfied a temporary calm appears in the mind. We interpret this as happiness found through having our desires fulfilled. What we do not notice is that this happiness doesn't arrive alone. It comes with a belief. That belief says: Fulfillment of desire is the way to happiness. When the pleasure from the fulfillment of that desire exhausts itself, off we go in search of more.
