The "airplane route" to patience is to go directly to divine remembrance through devotion and meditation. The slower "foot path" is the cultivation of the virtues. We can dwell in the higher true Self through divine remembrance or we can work to reduce the self-serving motives of ego--either way is useful.

The self-serving motives of ego are destroyed by serving others, letting go of attachment to particular outcomes, not reacting to praise or blame and giving with no thought of receiving in return.

Prayer for the workplace: "God be my day planner today. Help me to remember that You call all of the meetings and that all work is for your sake. When I see my co-workers I will think only of You. I will put them first offering my service to You. The workplace will be my practice hall today."
