Imagine trying to play music with an instrument that you are unfamiliar with and have little knowledge of its capacities. Contrast that with having insight into the instrument itself, its workings, and potential as well as instruction in its proper use. Such is our relationship with our own mind. Until we understand what the mind actually is, how it works, and what its potential is, we do not have access to our full ability to excel in life. The Kriya Yoga path of spiritual awakening is articulated in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, an essential guidebook for learning about the mind—how to actualize its capacities and go beyond it to the realization of our essence.
The course includes:
• Insights from the Yoga Sutra for cultivating even-mindedness, compassion, and wisdom
• Meditation instruction and practice
• Remedies for overcoming the nine obstacles to spiritual practice
• A method for applying spiritual wisdom to succeed in all areas of life
This class is offered on donation basis both onsite at CSE and online.
