YES yoga teacher training classes will be held at the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment in San Jose, easily accessible by Hwy 880 at the Alameda. CSE is located at 1146 University Ave. at the Alameda. To view the Center or for directions, go to www.CSEcenter.org.

Tuition covers the cost of program instruction. Students are responsible for any additional expenses such as books, props and teaching practicum fees.

Prerequisites:

A minimum of 3 years regular practice of hatha yoga or approval of YES director is required. Ongoing study with a teacher on a weekly or monthly basis is highly recommended. An ongoing daily meditation practice is also strongly encouraged.

YOGA TEACHER TRAINING FACULTY

Joyce Anue MS, PT, director and founder of YES, is the primary instructor for the YES Yoga Teacher Training Programs.

Joyce has been studying and practicing yoga for over 18 years. Strongly influenced by BKS Iyengar and several of his senior teachers (Ramanand Patel and Kofi Busia), Joyce received her Iyengar teaching certification in 1988. She is also a long time student of Vipassana meditation as taught in the tradition of S.N. Goenka. Joyce has worked with Joseph LePage as teaching faculty of the Integrative Yoga Therapy Introductory & Advanced Teacher Trainings since '96.

The training includes a Master Class on the Yoga Sutra with Ellen Grace O’Brian,MA, the founder and spiritual director of the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment. Rev. O’Brian has been practicing and sharing the teachings of yoga for over 25 years.

Sundari Jensen offers teachings on meditation, ethics and yoga philosophy. Sundari has been studying and practicing yoga philosophy for over 15 years. She serves as Meru Seminary Dean t the CSE and as adjunct faculty with JFK University.
