In these words Paramahansa Yogananda reminds us of our connection with all of nature, and through that connection our oneness with Spirit. With this quote I welcome you to AWAKENING Interfaith Spiritual Community, a CSE affiliate ministry. Located in Morro Bay, on the Central Coast, midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles we find through the beauty of our surroundings, a slower pace of life, and a vital spirituality and hunger for God. In the past few years many in our community have completed the Living the Eternal Way course, here and at the nearby prison, The California Men’s Colony. Many have also completed the Be Still & Know class, Yoga Sutra class, and received Kriya Yoga initiation from Rev. O'Brian during her summer visit. We have come together for retreats, classes, weekly meditation groups, and weekly worship services.

We welcome you to attend one of our upcoming offerings when you are passing through on vacation, visiting your student at Cal. Poly in nearby San Luis Obispo, or considering a move to our area. You will find here an unsurpassed beauty and peace, some of the finest handiwork of God in nature.

Rev. Nancy Ballinger

Rev. Nancy Ballinger graduated from the CSE Interfaith Seminary in San Jose and was ordained in 2000. With almost two decades of teaching and counseling experience she offers a rich and practical approach to spiritual practices in everyday life.

Rev. Ballinger comments, “It is with great joy that I bring the ancient and universal teachings of the Eternal Way and Kriya Yoga to our interfaith community on the Central Coast. In these challenging times we must all participate in the awakening of our world to the One Truth known by many names.”

Rev. Ballinger provides spiritual guidance counseling, spiritual direction, and a premarital counseling program, Growing in Love. She is available for weddings, commitment ceremonies, memorial services, and baby blessings.
