Volunteer Service at CSESelfless service is one of the core practices at the Center. As we perform selfless service we recognize that God is the doer, acting in and through us. Service in this way is given without attachment to results or expectation of reward. Of course, selfless service can be performed in any environment, and this ideally is the goal. However, it is often useful, especially in the beginning, to embark on this practice in the context of a supportive spiritual community. Volunteers who come to give service very often report a deep sense of joy and gratitude. Because we are all one, when we serve others we ultimately serve ourselves. Serving together is also the primary vehicle by which we experience community at the Center.
