Building Spiritual Community
A little over twenty-five years ago, Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian began a ministry with a vision of an interfaith spiritual community worshipping the one reality of God known by many names. Today, the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment is one of the largest interfaith communities in the South San Francisco Bay Area. Our community numbers over 600 active members and we serve over 3,400 households through our publications, programs and services in the larger community.
The Center for Spiritual Enlightenment is a spiritual community of seekers from many cultures and religious backgrounds. The Center offers worship services, youth and family programs, classes and retreats that facilitate personal development and support living a spiritually centered life. Every week, hundreds of people wholly engage in some form of spiritual practice, reflecting on universal human values and the unity of all religions.

The ministry at the Center has created an environment in which individuals and families can grow spiritually through awakening to the One Truth known by many names. Awakening to the unity of life brings new joy in living and a clear sense of how we each can contribute to the well being of all.
